Refocus with Reece aims to support families and care teams to better interpret, understand, and respond to behaviours in dementia more intentionally and consistently, promoting calmer days. It comes from 20 years of frontline dementia care and care management experience, backed by dementia studies masters education, abd aims to address an overwhelming need to apply practical skills and build confidence to avoid reactive care and crises, and to build a consistent foundation of psychological safety to prevent escalations on the first place. Difficult behaviours in dementia are not inevitable.
